(PLEASE NOTE NEW EXTENDED CLOSING DATE)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Prizes<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Terms and Conditions<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a>Eligibility<\/b><\/p>\n In accordance with the wishes of Ken Dyke, Sue\u2019s widower, this competition is aimed at our younger members to reflect Sue\u2019s particular interest in ensuring a vibrant future for Morris.<\/p>\n The competition is open to any individual who is a member of an Open Morris member side, or an Individual, Life or Honorary member of Open Morris, providing they are aged under 30 on the competition closing date, or submitting an entry relevant to their work with Open Morris members aged under 30 on the competition closing date.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a>Entry Format<\/b><\/p>\n Entries may be in any creative medium, such as photography; video; art; collage; essays; poetry; song. If you are unsure whether your chosen type of entry is suitable, please email chair@open-morris.org<\/a> with an outline of your idea.<\/p>\n Your entry must be in a form which can be both emailed and sent in the post. All entries must include an explanation or essay which can be printed in Dancing On!, be presented or displayed at the Open Morris AGM, and posted on the Open Morris website.<\/p>\n For example, you could write a tune or a dance and film it in use, with your entry including a CD, DVD or other portable piece of media, plus some text to explain your entry, how and why it was devised and your plans for its future.<\/p>\n You may choose to create a photographic or other artistic display. This should be well annotated and accompanied by comprehensive notes on how the project came about, what it means and why it is important to you.<\/p>\n The theme for the 2018 competition is \u2018What Morris Means To Me\u2019.<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a>Submitting Your Entry<\/b><\/p>\n To submit your entry, email chair@open-morris.org<\/a>, before the closing date, with the following details:<\/p>\n ~ Your full name<\/p>\n ~ Your date of birth<\/p>\n ~ Your email address<\/p>\n ~ Your contact telephone number<\/p>\n ~ Details of the format of your entry<\/p>\n Don’t email your entry at this stage – it’s better to warn us it’s on the way first. You will then be given the postal address to which you should send the physical copies of your entry, and full instructions on how to proceed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a>Closing Date<\/b><\/p>\n The competition closing date has been extended to September 15th 2018. A panel of independent judges will then look at the entries and confer, before deciding on a winner and runner-up. All entrants will be notified of the results by email by Sunday 28th<\/sup> October 2018, and the two prize-winners will also receive a phone call if possible.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
