Insurance<\/h2>\n

Open Morris Member Teams enjoy \u00a310,000,000 Public Liability Insurance cover (PLI), and Personal Accident Insurance for members aged 16 – 80 (PAI).\u00a0 The three Morris Organisations, comprising the JMOs (Open Morris, The Morris Ring and The Morris Federation) have a joint Public Liability Insurance policy, administrated by JMO Insurance Officer Michael Stimpson.<\/p>\n

Proof of Insurance certificates are sent to teams on receipt of their annual subscription. Our membership year runs Jan 26th – Jan 25th, although teams may join at any point during the year.<\/p>\n

Please note that this policy is only available to teams based in the UK. Teams based elsewhere in the world must arrange their own insurance cover in their country of residence, and can join Open Morris as Associate Members.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget-<\/p>\n

• The attention of Member Teams is drawn to the fact that if you are considering using flaming torches or dancing with lit sticks that the standard Liability Insurance does not cover you for use of naked flame, fireworks etc.<\/li>\n
• You are also reminded that if you are planning a trip to North America (USA or Canada) or if you are planning a ceilidh with tickets being sold to members of the public, you will need additional insurance encuring an extra premium.<\/li>\n
• Any trips to dance outside the UK must be logged with Michael Stimpson in advance.<\/li>\n
• Any requests for insurance cover in war zones will be denied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
