Open Morris Member Sides

Jet Set was formed in Whitby in 1999 with the intention of bringing traditional Border Morris to our region, but from a different perspective.

We have broken with tradition in adopting an elegant but relaxed style kit, main colour black to reflect the Jet mined at Whitby, with no face blackening or disguise.

We incorporate stories and legends from the local history of Whitby and the North Yorkshire moors in our dances, most of which have been created by team members, both past and present.

Whitby is famous for its jet jewellery, hence our name Jet Set.
